Thrive Architects

Thrive Architects needed a video to convey their process, work culture, and commitment to their clients’ success. Using employee interviews as the foundation, K-Kom produced an engaging video that promotes Thrive’s excellent work and attracts new clients.

Pre-Production

We started the project by working with Jeremy Bartlett, firm principal, to identify the goals for the video. A rough storyboard sequence was then created with topics to explore.

From this we assembled a wide range of interview questions and built a shot list to guide us through the shoot.

They took the time to learn about our company. Creating a storyboard through meetings had us well-prepared for the film crew.

Production

A full-day shoot was planned for Thrive’s headquarters in downtown Waukesha.

Interviews with the lead architects were captured with two cameras to provide shot variety. Additionally, our primary 4K camera gave us the ability to zoom into HD resolution, granting us further shot variety and flexibility during editing.

Between interviews, we explored the Thrive office to capture supplemental footage of employees at work, the office environment, project mockups, and other interesting visual elements.

Post-Production

After logging and organizing our footage, we assembled a cohesive story using the best interview clips. Project photos, renderings, and supplemental footage were overlaid to visualize topics.

Final touches included sourcing instrumental music to build to the emotional ending. We also custom-designed a set of animated logos, lower-thirds, and title screens to expand the Thrive branding.

We had a chance to work through the editing process and give input along the entire journey. We loved the experience and the final product. Their entire team was professional and provided great communication. We will be hiring them again.
